Logo design

This logo organically integrates the project's initials 'CEAB' with the hair silhouettes of diverse women, converging at the centre where the Celtic five folds symbol is incorporated. This symbol serves to communicate the deeper significance behind the design, resonating with the project's values of balance, unity, and connection. With a vibrant colour palette aimed at engaging not only academic but also non-academic audiences; and high contrast effects ensuring accessibility for diverse viewers, the design choices aim to captivate attention and spark curiosity. Inclusive of the project's full name at the bottom, the design supports an effective narrative bridging the gap between specialized research and a broader audience, ultimately encouraging engagement and participation in the project

The logo for Trans/Actions, consists of a megaphone — a symbol of protest — which captures the core values of the project. Originally designed in black and white, the high contrast enhances accessibility for audiences with diverse visual capacities, though it is often displayed with a yellow background. Designed in plain black lines, the logo ensures versatility and compatibility across various backgrounds. The ‘T’ in ‘Trans/Actions’ forms part of the megaphone's handle, seamlessly aligning the project's principal title beneath the speaker. The subtitle, ‘Translation as Activism’, follows the upward slope above the speaker. The megaphone's opening transforms into a circle at its widest part, incorporating two interconnecting spirals inspired by the Nahuatl symbol for speech. A group of people integrated into the spirals conveys the idea of connection, with each spiral mirroring the other, reflecting the process of translation.
